Strange as it may sound, this project began with a photographer who was figuring out his own style! At first, it was definitely not about science and an engineer curiosity as you may think; it was all about taking the best and most stunning photography.
But there were so many options, one could take pictures of people, animals, landscapes! He couldn’t decide what or where to take the picture he longed for. He spent many nights thinking about it, until one day the answer became obvious to him, he had to send a camera to space because Earth had became his muse.
When you are an engineer, the possibility of sending a camera to space doesn’t sound so crazy. Fernando is the name of the computer engineer (and photographer) in our story. He happened to know extraordinary people at his workplace and proposed them to create the project “Sky-Quest”, in which they would make a weather balloon and send it with a camera to stratosphere to take pictures of Earth.
They all loved the idea, and so the adventure began.
